Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. proudly supports community efforts through employee volunteerism, special initiatives, charitable contributions and sustainability.
Employee Volunteerism
Turner supports a culture of volunteerism in the workplace. Employees engage in volunteer opportunities throughout the year, including the company’s annual day of service, Turner Volunteer Day. Employees are also supported with Employee Volunteer Grants, grants given on the employee behalf where they volunteer, and Volunteer Release Time, 40 hours each year when employees are encouraged to use work hours to volunteer in the community.
Network Community Initiatives
As part of its business practices, TBS, Inc. encourages educational activities and community involvement. Among its special initiatives are CNN Student News, Cartoon Network’s GET ANIMATED pro-social campaign, and Peachtree TV Community Affairs morning program JJ on Atlanta. Click here to learn more.

Sustainability
Since the days when Ted Turner founded Turner Broadcasting, the company has made it a priority to be environmentally responsible. From its award-winning Clean Air Commuter program to ongoing facilities improvements to conserve energy and water to recycling campaigns to reduce waste, the company continues to implement innovative strategies to reduce its impact on the environment.
