Volunteerism
In addition to Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.'s financial support to nonprofit organizations, the greatest resource our company can offer the community is the time and talent of our employees.
From the time the company was founded, TBS, Inc. employees have volunteered in the communities where they live and work. In 1998, TBS, Inc. formalized its commitment to supporting employee volunteerism when it created the Turner Volunteers program. Since its inception, Turner Volunteers have donated approximately 30,000 hours to complete more than 50 projects.
On Turner Volunteer Day, our outstanding volunteers impact 50,000 people in a single day.
Drawing upon the unique energy and expertise of our employees, the Turner Volunteers program tackles projects in our local areas of business. Often, involvement by Turner Volunteers supplements our financial and in-kind contributions. If you are a non-profit [501 c(3) tax exempt] organization with a project, please consider submitting it for consideration. If your project matches employee interest and scheduling, we may be able to assist you. Click here to learn more.
